We detailed this striking two toned silver and black 1960s Chevy Camaro as the feature car on our stand at the SA Hot Rod Festival in 2009.

At the time, this build represented everything we stood for; meticulous preparation, deep gloss, and show-ready presentation. The photos were taken on a Blackberry, so the image quality reflects the era, but the impact of the car and the finish was unmistakable in person.

Back then we were fully Meguiar’s, using only their products for everything from our car wash bays to detailing. We were also official resellers, stocking their entire range, as visible on our stand. That was the way we worked up until 2015, when the detailing industry began evolving rapidly. New brands entered the market, notably CARPRO by Auto-DNA and Menzerna, and polishing and coating technology advanced significantly, and we adapted with it.

Today, very little remains of that early era apart from the experience it gave us. What has carried through is the mindset: understanding paint from system perspective, respecting the process, and constantly evolving our methods to deliver better results. This Camaro remains a snapshot of where we came from and a reminder of how long we’ve been refining our craft.
