We worked on this white Toyota RAV4 around 2015 to 2016, back when we still had our fitment centre in Ottery. On its drive from Botswana to Cape Town, the vehicle passed through wet tar which hardened as the journey continued. As the owner kept driving, the tar began breaking up into chunks and small pebbles, creating loud noises and affecting both the braking and wheel balance. By the time it reached Cape Town, the undertray had been pulled off and damaged along the way in an attempt to get rid of the loose tar fragments. Once the vehicle arrived at our workshop, we replaced the undertray and used our high lift to properly and efficiently clean all the affected areas underneath. After such a long trip, the interior was also given a full deep clean to freshen everything up.
