When to Do a Valet vs a Deep Clean

Valet = Maintenance Cleaning

A valet is for an interior that is already in reasonable condition and needs regular cleaning and upkeep.

We allocate 5 hours in total, 4 hours for the interior and 1 hour for the exterior.

• Seats are deep cleaned: shampooed, scrubbed, steamed and extracted.
  • Seats are not removed. Areas between the seats and centre console are blown out and wiped.
• Dashboard, console and door panels are are appropriately cleaned – scrubbed, detail brushing, wiping.
• Loose mats are washed.
• Flooring is brushed and vacuumed.
  • If time allows: cabin flooring and boot area are shampooed and extracted.

In simple terms: a valet maintains an interior.

Deep Clean = Interior Reset

A deep clean is for an interior that needs more than maintenance.

It is normally a full-day service with two trained staff. Very dirty interiors, larger vehicles, off-road or overlanding vehicles, and interiors with heavy mud or gravel dust may require additional time. If a one-day turnaround is required and possible, additional staff may be added. Otherwise, we will quote according to the level of result you want to achieve.

Where possible, seats are removed so we can properly access the flooring and hidden areas. Carpets and fabrics are pre-treated, scrubbed, steamed and extracted to remove contamination from deep within the fibres.

Our standard cleaning approach is to low moisture way so we have it dries either by the time your collect or quickly. However, the dirtier the vehicle, the more cleaning it requires and hence the more cleaning solution and water must be used. Some areas, be it stains etc, may also require multiple rounds of cleaning. These factors will increase drying times.

A deep clean is suited to interiors with dirt, stains, sand, heavy use, pet hair and spills, as well as being the first step in addressing stubborn odours such as smoke. The concept is that the source of the odour must be cleaned and removed first before any further odour treatment can be effective such as dehumidification and ozone treatment.

In simple terms: a deep clean resets an interior that has been neglected or heavily used.

Which one do you need?

Choose a Valet if the interior is generally clean and you want to maintain it.

Choose a Deep Clean if the interior is heavily soiled, stained, neglected or has odours that normal cleaning cannot resolve.
