It has become the norm in the automotive industry that you need to have your car detailed or at least polished by a detailer after going to a spray painter. Which is a problem because the detailer wont know how much clear coat there is to work with. We solve that problem in that we offer the complete solution – from spray painting to detailing.

Pricing On Inspection
While we may be able to discuss general estimates “over the phone”, it’s best to come in for an inspection so we can provide precise quotations.
Please Note: Photos cannot convey depth and is often taken badly (lighting and distance) so lacks the detail needed to be precise.
Paint chip & scratch touch-ups:
Paint touch-ups are a good solution for stone or rock chips, door edge dings, and small scratches.
Our goal is always to make paint repairs as invisible as possible. However, perfection depends not only on the eye of the beholder—how you, the client, perceive it and from what distance—but also on your budget. The more detail we put into the repair, the more time it takes, and consequently, the higher the cost but of course the better the outcome.
Of course, the success of the repair also depends on the nature of the damage, including factors such as your car’s colour, size, (width, depth) location, and your perception and expectation.
If you are expecting perfection up close, please consider spot repair if suitable or the best is to spray the whole panel(s).

What we do:
The definition of a touch-up: We carefully apply paint directly into the scratch or chip.
While this concept seems straightforward, it’s actually quite complex. Many technical factors influence the success rate in terms of appearance. These include the car’s color, the size (depth and width) of the damage, and its location.
How you look at the repair and your expectations are crucial factors. While a touch-up may still be noticeable when examined closely (Close up is considered within 2 meters from the the damage in natural sunlight), its visibility will vary depending on your viewing angle, distance, and lighting conditions. The repair’s appearance can change, becoming more or less noticeable as these factors shift.
How we do it:
We use various techniques based on the specific damage, your desired outcome, and your budget. These include:
Paint options: (our choice depends on the damage and your desired result)
- “Colour is the most significant factor in how a touch-up repair will look:”
- Color-matched paint mixed for your car yields the best results but requires more time and incurs higher costs.
- We offer a “nearest coloyr” option from our stock for a quicker and more affordable alternative, though it’s less ideal.
- Base coat only: A simpler and more affordable option, but less durable.
- Base and clear coat: A more complex process, resulting in higher quality finish.
Application methods: (depending on the damage and desired level of detail)
- Brush touch-ups: We now use ultra-fine microfiber tip disposable brushes, an upgrade from traditional fine-tipped art brushes.
- Syringe/Needle tip application
- Airbrushing
- Squeegee method
- For deep chips, we may apply spot repair putty before painting.
Excess Paint Removal methods: (depending on the damage and the level of detail you want)
- Sanding: Provides the best result but requires more labor and reduces the original paint.
- Chemical excess paint removal: No sanding required—quicker but suitable only for shallower damage.
Work Example: Pearl White Fiat 500 with deep stone chips and high up door and sill scratches
Spot Repairs
A spot repair involves spraying only a part (fraction) of a car’s body panel, such as a corner of a bumper or half or quarter of a door or fender. According to “rules of good workmanship”, this type of repair isn’t suitable and therefore shouldn’t be done for areas like the bonnet or other highly visible or exposed parts, as it may be noticeable and potentially less durable.
So in a nutshell; it’s a localised repair that eliminates the need to respray an entire panel, but it should only be performed when appropriate and in less conspicuous areas. This type of repair is chosen for time and lower cost than spraying the full panel only when it’s appropriate.
The base coat (colour coat) is sprayed only on the small part of the panel where the damage is—for example, to cover a scratch or a dent. In automotive painting, blending techniques are used to seamlessly “merge” the new paint with the original paint. Then clear coat is sprayed beyond where the base coat was applied and blended to create as invisible a repair as possible.
This paint repair method is also known as S.M.A.R.T. repairs (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology).
Panel and Full Car spray paint repairs
(e.g., full doors, bumpers, bonnets)
There are various types of paint damage, including chips, scratches, dents, dings, scuffs, peeling paint, and sunburnt paint or clear coat.
If your car has paint damage that’s too extensive for a small touch-up or if a smart/spot repair is not suitable, you would need to respray the entire panel or even multiple panels, depending on the extent of the damage and for better colour matching and blending reasons.
If there’s paint damage all over the car, or if the car has paint damage mixed with previous repairs that don’t match the original colour, it may be necessary to repaint the entire vehicle.
Repainting a panel or the whole car generally offers a superior repair in terms of both appearance and longevity. Other reasons include:
- Improved Colour Matching: Respraying allows for better colour matching by using blending techniques, ensuring a more consistent and seamless appearance.
- Superior Finish and Durability: Full panel or whole car repainting provides a smoother, long-lasting finish that more closely resembles the original factory paint.
- Withstands Closer Inspection: Resprayed panels looks better under close scrutiny.

Black textured plastic trim and bumper repairs
Pricing: On Inspection
Black plastic trim usually has a texture to it. While it’s easily repairable from scratches and other damage, matching the original texture and colour is the challenge. In some cases, we need to spray all the black trim together, either due to damage on all the plastics around the car or to ensure consistent matching.
