Paint Correction On Black Porsche Carrera 4S

This was the last detail we did at my first car wash that started it all, in Ottery before we closed there.

Aptly it was a Porsche Carrera in Black no less! my favorite!

This poor baby had been badly detailed just prior by another detailer. There were still heavy swirls, scratches, paint chips, and bad orange peel from a paint repair that ended with me wet sanding the driver’s side of the car to “blend” in the paintwork.

The result was of course stunning and flawless…

This was the first Porsche we did for the client and as of 2022, we’ve done 3 other Porsches and 2 other brands of cars for him!

Please note: we are now based in Lansdowne which is 5 minutes away from this location.

Pre-Inspection

Before we undertake major corrections especially involving sanding we thoroughly inspect a car for its faults and assess how far it can be corrected.

We want to of course not cause unnecessary damage.

The white marks you see on the Porsche’s paint are from a grease pencil. It does not scratch the paint at all. It’s to flag issues on the paint and notes for my staff.

This was inspired by the marks that a tailor might make when creating a pattern on materials for a suit.

Fun fact: both my grandfathers were tailors and now I’m a detailer 😛

Front bonnet of the Porsche also known as the frunk - front trunk
The front of a car is the face of the car. If it doesn’t look right the rest of the doesn’t!
